Dr. Swapnil Deshmukh (MBBS, MD, FIPS, MIAS) is a well-known Consultant in Psychiatric society of Pune. Being a merit student he completed MBBS with gold medals for all the 3 academic years. After giving excellent academic performance in M.B.B.S, he choose Psychiatry as his Post graduate specialization due to his zeal towards the Mental Health of human-being.
He pursued his Post graduate M.D. degree in reputed medical institute of Maharashtra i.e. B. J. Medical college and Sassoon General Hospital Pune. During the course, he also had participated in various research programs of national and International level. After completing the P.G. course he has been chosen as Ass. Professor at Maharashtra Institute of Mental Health.
To keep himself upgraded with the recent knowledge in Psychiatry, counselling, sexology, De-addiction, sleep-disorder he has participated and actively presented in various CME (Continuous Medical Education) programs at national and International levels.
Dr. Swapnil Deshmukh is practicing as a consultant Psychiatrist, Sexologist, De-addiction and sleep specialist in Pune. He has special interest in treatment of resistant cases of depression, schizophrenia and OCD, stress management, marital & sex therapy, de-addition and child psychiatry. Dr Deshmukh is certified for “good clinical practice”.
Dr. Deshmukh is committed to deliver most advanced & latest treatment options like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) which is considered to be worlds latest and safest treatment modality in neuro-psychiatry. He is doing rTMS in resistant cases of neuro-psychiatric disorders since 2011, at Joshi Hospital Pune. Dr. Deshmukh is also working as Independent qualified rater at Bracket, Wayne, USA, and is Vice President of Indian Psychiatric society Pune Branch.
